Case Study: Location Strategy Yields Competitive Advantage

Business Issue

A global engineering firm had outgrown its primary location and needed help developing a location strategy and a plan to improve candidate attraction and increase worker retention.

Talent Solutions was chosen to create an integrated solution that provided the agility the company needed to sustain its growth and expansion.

The solution comprised both workforce analytics and a workforce consulting.

Workforce Analytics - a location strategy was developed by aggregating market and workforce data.

Workforce Consulting - leveraging expertise, and the client’s HR data, a recommendation was developed to ensure the chosen location would be cost efficient and favorable to candidate attraction and retention.

The recommendations gave the client the best chance to retain current workers, while driving cost efficiency and increasing access to the right talent. A new site within its current market gave the client a chance to stand out as an employer brand of choice. To further increase worker retention, the client identified additional benefits to offer employees.
